Baby, it's cold outside!!

The last week has been a real treat (please detect sarcasm here.) It snowed quite heavily for this area on Sunday night, and screwed up my tightly scheduled week.

I finally got back on track around Wednesday. But seeing the car thermometer register 5 degrees as I drove to school on Thursday morning was almost more than this Hawaii girl could take.

Three layers top and bottom, plus a heavy coat and I was still cold. Until I got to class and had to strip some of it off so as not to pass out from heatstroke. That raised a few eyebrows amongst my fellow students.

But all was forgiven when I got home to find that my paperwhites had started opening up!

Hehe. I will send some of our sub-zero MN weather down there, just to see what you do! ;)

Just when I thought my Amaryllis was dead and needed to be taken back after 3 weeks of appearing to do nothing (and I talked to it really I did!)...Three new stalks appeared overnight...
