The mailman brought THE letter today. You know, the one I have been waiting for. If it had been a college acceptance I was looking for, I would have been mighty disappointed. The letter was so thin, I almost missed it in the envelope.
Based on the news, I should have left it in the envelope.
I was not accepted into the program this year.
I am disappointed, but not surprised.
I guess I will have to work on Plan B. And eat a LOT of chocolate.

It sure is their loss! Sorry to hear that. What is plan B besides eat a lot of chocolate?
Oh that sucks. Sorry to hear the news. So what is plan B? Although the part about lots of chocolate sounds like a really good way to transition into B. I just think now you will have more time to travel to Vegas to visit me and to Reno to visit the girls.
It is a difficult program to get into here as well. I'm sure you'd have been great with patients given your wonderful sense of humor. Have you ever thought about nursing?
Barb ~ Thanks! Marcia (below) hit the Plan B nail on the head. Plan B is to see if I can start nursing school. This doesn't mean I've given up on radiography, but I can't even apply again for another year. Might as well use the time wisely!
Marmy~ Your first line says it all! LOL Go air yer landing flaps (and any other parts that need airing.) Thanks for eating chocolate on my behalf!
Angie~ *sigh* Well Plan B won't give me any more time (or money) to travel, but we will see what we can do!
Marcia~ You called it, girl! Plan B is the nursing program. BUT, I have to score really well on the ACT to get in. I will re-apply for the radiography program next year, but with (hopefully) a few more courses under my belt. Sadly, I can't even be admitted to nursing until the spring semester, so I will knock out some more general education courses!
Oh Lise--This just means something better is out there and some day (I know not now) you will look back and say, "thank goodness I didn't get into the radiology program back then or I wouldn't be doing "x" right now..."
No question at all that you can do really well on the ACT test(s)...And now is certainly better than before when we were in school with everything available on the internet...
Keep your head up--we are in the same boat right now sista (literally)! Just gotta keep rowing forward...

Man, ain't that just a kick in the patootie.
Don't worry about getting into the nursing program. I know and have known lots of REALLY STUPID, BORING FOLKS who not only got into the nursing program up here, but actually graduated and got licenses. Scary, the kind of folks they will give access to good drugs and sharp needles....I figure if they can get in, you can DEFINITELY get in.
Sorry about the bad news, but maybe the nursing thing will open up some cool possibilities for you...
If you have to do plan 2 for a tad, then you will at use get to use wonderful words and sayings like 'auntie morris's' LOL and put up with daft patients like me LOL
but if you was anything like the amazing nurses we have over here, then you will be like an angel on earth......
x
Oh, Lisa. I'm so sorry. That really stinks. I hope there is something wonderful waiting for you. (((hugs)))
