It was just one of those days in the kitchen when everything came out delicious looking and fattening! So, I thought I would share with you!
First up, focaccia with fresh rosemary from my garden. I was inspired by this post, and other than having to rig a shelf above the preheating oven to warm the rising dough, it was quite easy to make. After it cooled (barely!) a little mouse ripped pieces off and dipped it in some Balsamic vinegar before popping in my (I mean, it's mousy) mouth! Yum.
Next, for my dear MIL, who *might* be willing to share, a homemade baked macaroni and cheese.
And to round out the meal (and myself,) brownies! Not just brownies. Stud Muffin felt that if we were in for a penny, might as well be in for a pound, or ten, so these are frosted too. Barb, these are just for you!
Oh cr*p! The brownie pictures aren't very good. I'll have to eat this one and try for another picture later. Now, before my doctor falls over dead from the horror of this meal, I did eat a salad too. But if this keeps up, we'll have to come up with new nicknames. Penny's Freudian typo on this post would be good for Stud Muffin. So he might have to be "Stuf" Muffin, and I will change my name to Chubby Bunny!

Hmmmmm....the picture of the brownie looks ok to me. As for that mac and cheese can you send me the recipe please? That looks very good. Yummy.
now you know it is not fair to show a picture of my favorites-----BEST mac & cheese I have ever tasted(even better than my own) and scru-didly umptous brownies with frosting. Celic if you get the recipe you will be lucky!!!!!! Lisa dear, you and my son have got it made on the farm!!!! luv ya
MIL: The mac and cheese was goood! You really liked it! Even had two servings, you little piggie! And the brownies! Now, don't tell me you didn't have any... there's chocolate frosting all over your face! Are you saving that part for later?
Lisa and StuDmuffin, I am so sorry!!! I had to go back and reread what I typed about 5 times before I saw the horrible mistake I had made. ANYWAY, I have to agree, homemade mac-n-cheese is the best, especially with the crusty cheese on top! My mom always makes it for me when I go home to visit.
Mmmmm, I want a brownie! And since I've already blown the diet this week, what's one more, right???
Hey Lisa I made HM Mac n Cheese today(Sunday) I use the 1928 recipe which are you using? Hmmmmm Mac N Cheese
FSM: I don't know the 1928 recipe. Care to share? My MIL taught me a basic recipe and then I modified it. The secret ingredient in my is plain yogurt!
I just want to know why you never made this focaccia bread when you lived by me? But feel free to whip one up, freeze it and mail it out. Love ya, Angie
Well, Angie, I didn't know how to then! Unfortunately, focaccia doesn't travel well, so you will just have to come out here and I'll make it for you!!
I'm booking the flight now. And there better be some mac n cheese too!...............Angie
