Summer on a plate

As much as I love summer fruits, this to me is the epitome of summer pleasure!

A medley of three types of homegrown heirloom tomatoes; Orange Banana, Rio Grande Roma, and Pink German Lunchbox. A little chopped fresh basil, a bit of feta cheese, salt, pepper, and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar!

Ah, heaven! I could eat this everyday!!

Alright Marmy. The plates are called Garden Delight (not Eat Your Frikin' Veggies!) and they are manufactured by Sakura in 1995. Good luck in finding some! Let me know if you find the coffee cups! I never bought any!

Bugger they aint on our Ebay lol..... I will look in Knight and Lees which is a well posh Shop in Southsea they specialize in nice chinawear......

Back in 1981 when I got married (spit) I fell in love with a dinner service called Gypsy by Denby (dont ask me why cos its pink AND I dont do pink) heavy stoneware plates etc.... but they was real expensive.... so all me maties from when I worked at The Ministry of Denfence bought us one item each, be it one single side plate etc... and thats all we had as wedding gifts but its what I truely wanted........ well..... most of it is on me pine dresser in this middle room, not really used only for special occasions.... coffee pot, tea pot the works all of the dam stuff lol..... the huge oval platers we used as dinner plates for years but Ive bought other nicer plates not that we use everyday..... so I found at the back of the cupboard 6 of the huge oval platers and no room on me dresser and I knew we would now never use them so I Ebayed them :) - My Description went along the lines of *1981 Wedding gift, used but as new.... just like the X husband Im getting rid of these plates to.... but unlike the X husband they have worn way better, not aged, chipped or scratched whereas his face looks like a smacked arse with a personality to match*

I sold them seperate, one a week and they all went at such a great price, I suppose where people had broken one of theirs over the years...... but I had hundreds of emails about the description LMFAO.....

One time I was directed to an Ebay listing that was the most creative story! What was for sale was a kid's baseball, but the story was about all the trouble that occurred when this ball was played with in the house. First the broken window, then when Mom wasn't looking, the kids got into the chocolate syrup, which they got all over the furniture, blah, blah, blah.

This ball ended up selling for something like $2000 all because of the story describing it! Fabulous!
