Shopping??

You know, when most girls go shopping and are going to splurge, it's for shoes, or handbags, a little bling, perhaps. Guess I'm not most girls.

When I go shopping, it's for...

mulch! An entire dump truck full of mulch!

That's a lot of mulch!

I know, you are all jealous of my huge pile of shredded wood! Bet you all want to rush right out here and help me move all of this to the flower beds with a big wheelbarrow! Please?!?

But, I did contribute to the cost of this pile with my "farm sales" of pink tomatoes... All $8 worth!

Oh, and Stud Muffin wanted me to share this:

A basket full of spaghetti squash.

Oh, not that I have a basket of spaghetti squashes (that I grew myself, ::boast, boast::) but that I have stored them in HIS closet!

WHAT???? Is this not right??

You're too funny. It's nice to have something you love doing like gardening. I'm glad you had such a good visit with the girls.

Okay, first off, WHY is that man's closet so clean??? Secondly, get him some more pants! Third, I've never seen more delicious-looking tomatoes in my life (cough cough, hint hint) lol. And last, I'd be down in a nanosecond to help you mulch whatever it is you're going to mulch. Alas, at this point, I'd be the one being hauled around by the wheelbarrow, as opposed to actually hauling something else in it.

I've been dreaming of a dump truck load of compost myself, but it's gone up 50% over last year, so I'm not sure I'll get that big of a load this year.

Alright, Kelly, true be told, this is not his only closet!! This is the overflow. I think he has more clothes than I do! And i would so send you some tomatoes, but one thing i have learned about heirloom maters is that they don't store well!

And Lisa, I would love a truck load of compost, but that is way out of my budge. Plus, i don't trust the folks around here not to put icky things in the compost. I would rather make my own, even if I am slow!

I too love mulch. For my birthday I asked for a yard of topsoil and plants. What can I say? Dirt is good. BAHAHAHA I'm glad I found your blog:)

What did you end up doing with all that mulch? Doesn't everyone store spaghetti squash in the closet????

I hope you are having a good weekend!

Barb~ Most of the mulch is right where I left it! I has been so beastly hot and humid here that I haven't gotten very far on moving it around.
