Sorry to be so quite these days! That is so not like me. But you see, learning how to learn again is a full time job for this little brain of mine.
I have never taken online courses before, and now I am taking three. Plus the Anatomy class I take at the school campus twice a week. I thought I understood the calendar feature of the college website. Alas, wrong again. I logged on yesterday morning to find that I had a science lab due that day and one due tomorrow.
CR*P!!
I set about reviewing how to make this ^%&$^# calendar function work and wrote it all down on my new school assignment book.
Here is February:
Each notation is something due. An exam, an assignment, a lab report or a term paper. Not just "Will you please read chapter 4 and take notes," but "Do this big *ss lab for which you don't have a ruler that does millimeters, format it into a file, attach it to an email, and send it to me, your lofty professor who is reclining at the pool somewhere sunny while you sweat in the freezing cold."
Yup. That about sums it up.
Needless to say, yesterday, instead of calmly preparing for my anatomy lecture and lab on biochemistry, I ran around unwashed, in my long john pajamas, measuring cr*p with a quilting ruler, converting centimeters to millimeters (don't you dare laugh at me, Marmy!) and trying to get stuff done before the professor with the tan and a pina colada refused to accept it.
I threw some clothes on over the long johns to help Studly drop off and then collect the Tahoe at the car dealership, where it had some recall items and other things fixed. And they want $700 to replace the ruined tire rim. I don't think so!
My husband is very patient with me, but I doubt he is amused by the even less than normally bad housekeeping and cooking.
He's also very amusing!
I WILL get my act together one of these days. But, I don't see any letup to the frantic studying until... umm... May!

Oh my....... laffing at the centimetres into millimetres LMFAO.....
Ive been busy as hell, me 3 year Ofsted Inspection was last week and since September when the new EYFS laws and rules came to pass, and our lives as minders have changed for good lol.....I decided to rewrite all me 47 policies and contracts on all me nippers to meet the new laws, and our group where all looking towards me as the lead, as I was the first to be inspected under these new laws....we are now classed as educaters and as such have so much paperwork to keep up with, no wonder minders are leaving 13 to the dozen....
so I aint been around much either, and have completely neglected Twaddle, maybe its a sign to just let it die....
Also on Tuesday I start me NVQ3 course, which is a 2 year course that me and me matie are gonna do within 6 months LOL jebus knows how :) especially as I really dont wanna be doing this job anymore but I see no way out....
Also been sussing out Sparsholt College for our Jacob come September, when he leaves compulsary education, he will be just 16 and the college will involve much travel but its what he really wants to do.....
Do you have to wear a pleated gym skirt for college? lol

PG ~ Love you baby! Hope you get an A on your blood test. HaHa!
Marmy ~ I figured you were still busy with your inspection stuff! I take you passed?? I knew you get a kick out my conversions. Actually, I just have a time finding something to measure in cm. The conversion I can handle, thank you!
Studly wants to thank you for reinforcing his assertion that I have to wear the little pleated skirt! Of course, he wants thigh-high stockings, Peter Pan collared blouse... Good luck to him!!

Also, proofread before hitting "publish."
Funny picture of Studley! He sure does seem to have a sense of humor. I know you have a lot to do, but also take some *you* time and just relax. Good luck in your studies. It all sounds very exciting.
Passed with flying colours, just a couple of points need tweaking, but for the first one to be inspected under the new laws I did pretty dam bloody brill :)
I remember when I started Senior School here all those years ago (senior starts at age 11) the first thing we had to make in our sewing classes (yes we had sewing classes at our comprehensive school and all other practical lessons lol), well, the first thing we had to make was a pleated gym skirt, bloody hard or what to start sewing lessons with lol, it took me almost a year to make mine LOL so in the mean time I had to wear just navy blue knickers to do gym in..... can you imagine that today LOL....
Hope ya studies are going well...
